GET THE EDGE – DAY 2 – THE POWER OF RELATIONSHIPS (PART 1: PASSION, CONNECTION & LOVE)

You can’t give to other people what you haven’t learned to give yourself. Write at least 10 things you can do to show how much you love yourself.

  1. Do my 15 minutes to thrive, including thanking myself for my talents.
  2. Look myself in the eye 2 minutes of compliments.
  3. Be generous towards myself.
  4. Genuinely accept compliments.
  5. Back myself when 'selling'
  6. Write DAILY in my journal.
  7. Give myself an hour a day for personal development.
  8. Exercise.
  9. Meditate with full intention. 
  10. Constantly improve my great sleep hygiene routine.

Your Assignment

Begin closing the gap by describing where you are and where you want to be.

1.Where are you in your intimate relationship? Which scenario best describes the current state of your intimate relationship? Wherever you are, be honest. Honesty will bring you clarity.

2)  Love is there, but not enough passion.

2. Whether you’re in a relationship or not, describe what your ideal relationship would be like. What would you do together? How would you have fun? What would it be like to be physically, emotionally and spiritually intimate the way you truly want to be? What do you (or would you) have in common? Would you have children? If so, how would you raise them? Even if you’re already in a great relationship, what more do you want?

We would travel, eat, make love. It would be entoxicating to be intimate. We would come together to thrive, allowing each other to have fun and thrive alone and together.  Each year would have more fucks than Sundays.

GET THE EDGE – DAY 1 – RESULTS WORKSHOP – 7 KEYS TO CHANGING ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE... TODAY!

 

Exercise: How do you rationalize?

What are the most common reasons you fail to do things? What stories do you tell yourself? List at least five rationalizations you use for not following through:

  1. I don't have time.
  2. Now is not the time.
  3. It will take me away from time with loved ones.
  4. It's just ego making me want it.
  5. I'm being Unreasonable.

Exercise: Let’s Get Honest

  1. What are you unhappy about in your career, your business, yourself, your rationalizations?

Write down some things that disturb you right now.

I’m disturbed about my current financial situation, with us currently going backwards whilst Lizzie doesn't work

2.  What are you committed to doing instead? Decide what new Result you want, then write why (your Purpose) you are committed to obtaining this result.

Result: I am now committed to creating a financial situation that makes us immune from either of us losing our income.  I am committed to this because this will give us the freedom to CHOOSE our jobs without financial pressure.  So that we NEVER go backwards again.

Step 3: Create a Massive Action Plan (MAP)
It’s time to “draw the MAP.” To make sure you follow through, come up with a list of actions that will absolutely produce results.

  • Talk to Lizzie about it.
  • Create a better budget.
  • Find extra sources of income.
  • Live abundantly.
  • Develop passive income flows
  • Commit to things with absolute belief.

Exercise: Old Beliefs, New Beliefs
Write down all the old beliefs that have kept you from following through on your goal in the past.
  • I can't do it.
  • Lizzie and I are too different.
  • I don't have the resources.
  • It will take too long to be worth it.
  • I don't have the talent.
  • I'll never be truly financially free.

Write down the new beliefs that will empower you from this point forward.

  • Because I always follow through, I always make my dreams come true.
  • Lizzie is open to listening.
  • I have a multitude of resources - I just need to be resourceful.
  • SO long as I progress in the right direction, the universe will meet me more than half way
  • When we work together, we are unbeatable!

Exercise: Enhance the Experience

Come up with two or three ideas that can help you look forward to doing the things that will get your result. What can you focus on, pay attention to, notice, appreciate or enjoy that will enhance the experience?

  • Keep the end in mind.
  • Celebrate and give thanks for every little victory!
  • Always have splurge/smile money.

Personal Power Day 6: Driving Force - Your Six Human Needs

So what  are the 6 human needs, according to Big Tony?

Certainty vs Uncertainty/Variety 

Significance vs Connection & Love

Growth and Contribution.

A Class 1 experience:

• feels good - satisfies at least 4 of the 6 human needs.
• is good for you
• is good for others
• serves the greater good

2. Most people want to avoid Class 2 experiences, but mastering them brings us the most joy, growth and fulfillment.

A Class 2 experience:

• does not feel good
• is good for you
• is good for others
• serves the greater good

3. Nonproductive Class 3 experiences provide immediate pleasure but eventually destroy our quality of life and give us ultimate pain. Drinking or eating to excess could fit into this category.

A Class 3 experience:

• feels good
• is not good for you
• is not good for others
• does not serve the greater good

4. People often indulge in Class 4 experiences as a result of peer pressure, conditioning or old belief systems. Smoking cigarettes, for example, usually doesn’t feel good the first time, yet many people continue to do it.

A Class 4 experience:

• does not feel good
• is not good for you
• is not good for others
• does not serve the greater good

The secret to a happy and fulfilled life is learning to convert Class 2 experiences into Class 1—making the process of doing them feel good as well as be good.

Significance - Share your music with people. Register your music with APRA

Connection & Love - Play your music with and for people.

Growth - listen and develop your skills as a composer/songwriter.  Increase your technical  and playing skills.

Contribution - Be willing to be of service to people who need composed music.

Part 3: Economic Goals
  • Double Income. - 1
    • Help achieve the other goals!  Ability to travel etc.
  • Have $3M in managed funds.
    • Passive income of $75K - free myself from a 'job'
  • Pay off All properties.
    • Have properties generating positive cashflow.
  • Make income with futures. - 1
    • Increase my income with the same commitment of time each day.
  • Match my current wage with passive income
    • Free myself from having to have a 'job', so that I can make decisions purely on what I feel would develop me as a person.
SO - now to do something towards each goal.

Day 4: 3 Steps to Lasting Change

Today is about gaining leverage over the 4 changes mentioned on day 2. 

  • Step 1 - 10 reasons to change.
    • Step 2 - Why I know that I can change it.
      • Step 3 - Pattern Interrupts 

 1. Improving my Sleep Hygiene.

  • It will increase my energy levels.
  • I will look younger.
  • I will be more resistant to illness.
  • I will be able to think better, and achieve more.
  • I've I don't, I will be chronically tired!
  • My mood will be better.
  • I will be able to deal with the curve balls of life
  • It will make me more creative.
  • I will get far more enjoyment out of work AND recreation.
  • I will be a safer user of the roads. 
    • I can change this because the steps are simple!
    • I have changed other physical issues.
    • There is plenty of literature on sleep hygiene.
      • Remember what it is like not to be able to sleep, when you do unproductive things.
      • Yawn loudly if you're about to do the 'wrong' thing,

2. Working consistently on my musical

  • The more I create, the more creative I get!
  • It will constantly improve.
  • The universe notices when you put your consciousness into something.
  • I have a message that needs to be shared and promoted.
  • I can make the world a better place with music.
  • It will be fun.
  • If I DON'T do it, then I'll regret it.
  • Someone with less talent will get there.
  • People need hope.
  • People need to know that they can make a difference.
    • I've done this in the past - just need to get 'back on the horse'
    • I am disciplined.
      • Sit and sing the first phrase of the musical.

 

3. Being more intimate with Lizzie.

  • Make Lizzie feel treasured.
  • We will have more fun together
  • Example to Dot.
  • More satisfying.
  • If we don't, it will be a long 25 years!
  • We will feel younger, like its 25 years ago.
  • All parts of our life will be better.
  • Sex is fun!
  • Touch is pleasurable.
  • To recapture our 3 dimensional relationship.
    • It's just a case of turning back the clock 
      • When I stop and separate - exhale and listen!

 

 4. Improving my handwriting.

  • Make writing easier to do.
  • Make it easier to spontaneously communicate.
  • Give people the joy of the handwritten note.
  • If I don't, writing will be cramped and painful.
  • So I can sign my name easily lots of times.
  • To jot down inspiration when it comes.
  • To keep communication as personal as possible.
  • A letter is a thing of beauty.
  • An old school star needs old school skills.
  • Great handwriting is taken more seriously!
    • Handwriting is a skill - if you can play trombone, then you can write!
      • Stop  - scratch it out - do it again!

Personal Power Day 3: The power of Associations

3 Associations in my past life that have been empowering.

  1. When I train for something, I increase my chance of success.
  2. When I show my vulnerability, I allow in love.
  3. By enacting plans, I achieve my goals, even if it is differently to the way I though they would be achieved.

Associations in my life that are disempowering .

  1. I have been overlooked because of my age - therefore I am too old.
  2. I have been told I am ugly - therefore I must be not handsome enough to be an actor.
  3. If I ask for what I want,  I will be rejected
